Interviewing Workshop -- ECP #3

John McAloon  recently retired from CGG - VERITAS after 29 years.  John held various technical and managerial positions, including personnel development manager for the Marine (Offshore) Division.  In this position John was responsible for the recruitment and training of offshore personnel worldwide.  He has also recruited onshore personnel for the various departments he headed.

John, is originally from Scotland and has been in the United States since 1978.  He  became a proud  US Citizen in 1984.   He lived in New Orleans, Pensacola Fl and Phoenix Az. before finally settling in Houston in 1991. He is a volunteer at MAM where he works in Employment  Services.  He is a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

Britt Cotter recently retired from his position as International Human Resources Manager at Marathon Oil Company.  He started his career as an HR generalist in Marathon’s Findlay, Ohio headquarters, and since then has worked in a variety of HR assignments, including stops in Jakarta, Lafayette, La., Findlay for a second time, and finally back to Houston.  Britt supported exploration and production, mergers and acquisitions, capital projects and corporate staff organizations.  He has also spent significant time in West Africa.

Britt was raised in West Virginia, and holds degrees from West Virginia University in Business Administration and in Industrial Relations.  He is married and has three children.
