Those contractors depend on us to get their employment contracts set up, to be paid accurately and on time, and to be their voice and advocate within their career.
The fewer hassles our contractors have, the more time they have to devote to the stuff that really matters – enjoying life and doing meaningful work. We’d rather – and they’d rather – spend their time planning for North America’s energy needs, building new bridges, and developing innovative software – than worrying about whether their pay arrived correctly or their contract renewal paperwork is ship-shape.
The contractor success team makes sure they can.
Contractor Success Representative
We have recently opened a new office in Houston, TX to handle our growing business in the US.
We’re looking for a new contractor success representative– that’s what we call ourselves – to help Ian Martin Group contractors thrive.
On a practical level, that means working directly with contractors to:
- Create and track their employment contracts
- Collect and process onboarding documents including drug screens and background checks
- Train them on various employment processes, ex. health and safety
- Liaise with payroll to ensure they are paid accurately and on time
- Be in touch throughout their contract – as their go-to source for information and support
And in general, ensuring contractors feel great when they’re interacting with us.
Success in this role means building great, caring relationships with contractors and their managers, as well as continuous improvement of processes and systems – clearing backlogs or increasing capacity to onboard contractors (we’re growing!).
It’s a role with a lot of human interaction – with contracts and clients as well as inside the Ian Martin Group, especially with the rest of the contractor success team. We’re a team of about eight kind, collaborative, and committed people – and we can’t wait to meet someone like-minded.

This is a full-time position with a target salary of $30,000 to $40,000 and benefits. We’ll hire as soon as we meet the right person.
The absolutely essential skill in this role is love for helping people. You have to have abundant kindness and empathy, and the desire to work closely with a team. We can teach you the rest.
These skills are also useful and will help you stand out:
- Experience in a role where you supported customers, especially over the phone and by email
- Experience in a role that required exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ex. an administrative role
- Business acumen gained from either a diploma/degree in business or practical business experience
