    JOB DESCRIPTION

    To perform general labor and site utility work in a construction environment as necessary for commercial or residential construction projects.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Assist crew lead and/or local field management in construction work
    • Assist with the handling and placement of conduit and cables
    • Maintain equipment as necessary and according to safety specifications
    • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
    • Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces
    • Load/unload equipment and tools
    • All other duties as assigned 

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education:

    • High school diploma or G.E.D. plus 1 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

     

    Experience:

    • 1+ year of construction, maintenance, or labor experience
    • Proven knowledge of locate markings

               

    Technical Skills:

    • Ability to use hand tools daily
    • Ability to maintain equipment
    • Proven proficiency in the handling/placement of conduit and cables

     

    Soft Skills:

    • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
    • Effective listening, interacting and writing skills
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment 
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
    • Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
    • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 75 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
    • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours in all types of weather
