    Warehouse Supervisor - Day Shift

    The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for providing general supervision to employees. This role will be responsible for receiving, storing, and preparing merchandise for delivery. In addition, this position is responsible for securing the warehouse.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the receiving, storage and restocking of product purchases from suppliers and other sources
    • Direct the filling, loading and checking of product orders for customers through the supervision of various warehouse employees
    • Ensure proper inventory, filling and billing of orders to customers
    • Maintain accurate inventory through weekly inventory cycle counts and full physical inventories as directed
    • Ensure the timely report of products billed, but not shipped, to customers in order to issue timely preparation of credit memos
    • Communicate defined productivity expectations; monitor and report on progress regularly; achieve results
    • Supervise the replenishment of items/quantities sold daily
    • Train warehousing employees on the organizational, operational, inventory controls, safety and service policies and procedures
    • Recruit, select, orient, and train warehousing employees; conduct terminations, as needed
    • Coach and counsel employees; discipline individuals according to company policy; plan and monitor employee goals; and appraise performance
    • Approve and schedule all department personnel time off requests; ensure shift coverage at all times
    • Actively participate in monthly safety training/meetings per Glazer’s Safety Policy
    • Report on building security, vehicle security, warehouse loading productivity, driver efficiency and check-in procedures/control
    • Ensure the facility and equipment is in constant compliance with all Federal OSHA and State regulations
    • Ensure all accidents and incidents are handled and reported, according to company policy
    • Collaborate with and provide support to the transportation team, as needed
    • Perform other job related duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalency plus 2 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance in accordance with State laws
    • 1 year of demonstrated supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
    • Ability to operate a forklift

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Valid CDL license
    • General knowledge of SAP or similar system
    • Demonstrated success managing high product volumes in an time-sensitive manner
    • Ability to work at elevated heights on warehouse rafters, if needed
    • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation, persuasion and communications skills
    • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite and/or software applications
    • Ability to work effectively across functions to achieve desired customer satisfaction goals
    • Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements
    • Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments
    • Working knowledge of safety management principles and OSHA regulations
    • Experience with having P&L responsibility, owning and managing budgets and ability to create and maintain various management reports
