Description
MAM's Employment Certification Program is designed to provide comprehensive job search training to clients who have the commitment to handle a scheduled multi-week program. Eight workshop topics are taught in four two-hour sittings across a two-week period, with homework assignments involved in most workshops.
The curriculum covers both the "hard skills" associated with job seeking (elevator speech, overcoming obstacles, resume writing, job search strategies, interviewing skills) as well as the "soft skills" associated with keeping a job (personal responsibility, working with others, conflict resolution, professionalism).
To be considered, you must (1) be legal to work in the United States, (2) be reasonably proficient in speaking and understanding English, (3) have adequate computer literacy to create your own resume, (4) be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug screen.
