Normal website usage.
Memorial Assistance Ministries (“MAM”) has a strong commitment to internet privacy. You can visit most portions of maministries.org without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information. The only information we collect from a normal web site visit is the name of your internet service provider, the browser and type of machine you are using, the web site that referred you to us, the pages you request and the date and time you request them. We use this information to generate statistics and measure site activity to improve the usefulness of the MAM site to our visitors.

Collection of personally identifiable information.
MAM may collect email addresses and other personally identifiable data about visitors when such data is voluntarily submitted to maministries.org. For example, our site uses information collection forms for visitors to request information, sign up for the My Charities section, or to subscribe to our free newsletter. Contact information from these sign-up forms is used to send information and data about MAM to our visitors.
We never request financial information from any of our visitors. To become a registered user of the MAM site, we require registration of personal information. We use this information to make this function more effective and provide participants with additional information about charitable issues. All such information is collected and stored in a manner appropriate to the nature of the data.
MAM makes every effort to insure the secure collection and transmission of sensitive user information using industry accepted data collection and encryption methodologies.
MAM does not sell or otherwise disclose user information outside the organization. This policy has no exceptions. We do not sell or exchange your information with any other organization, public, private, or non-profit.

Cookies
Like most websites, MAM may place a "cookie," or small file, in the browser files of a visitor's computer. We use cookies to save information you give us so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site. This allows us to personalize the site to your taste and provide the best web experience possible to our visitors. We do not use cookies to track your movement among different web sites and do not exchange cookies with other entities.

Amendment
MAM may amend this policy from time to time. If we make substantial changes in the way we use your name, address, or other information about you that you have disclosed to us, we will notify you by posting announcements on our web site.

Privacy Policy and Notice to Parents
MAM encourages safe Internet usage for visitors of all ages and every effort is made on our part to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, effective April 20, 2000. Check back to this policy frequently as it is subject to change, and your current and continued use of this site is conditioned upon your having accepted these terms, and your acceptance of any modifications in the future.

Information collected
We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site unless you choose to provide such information to us. The kinds of information collected are user name, password, e-mail address, phone number, address, zip code, demographic survey information, and volunteer job selection information. Page views are also recorded and the technology of cookies may be employed. Personally identifying information is NOT required to use our site, only to use certain features and at the user's request.

Use of information
Personally identifying information is only collected and routed to third parties when requested and voluntarily given by the user. The third parties involved are agencies seeking volunteers, from whom the user is requesting contact. Collected information is not sold or published publicly, with the exception of aggregate, non-personally identifying demographics reported to funding sources and used to improve our web site. Users may sign up for e-mail newsletters or request more information from us, or our associated non-profit agencies.

Users under the age of 13
Any user providing personally identifying information is certifying that he/she is over the age of 13. We do NOT require children to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary. Users under the age of 13 may NOT disclose any personally identifying information to us without parental consent. Parental consent must be given, in writing, mailed or faxed to the contact listed below. At any time, a parent/guardian may review the child's personally identifying information, ask to have it deleted, and refuse to allow any further collection or use of it. To do so, parents should contact MEMORIAL ASSISTANCE MINISTRIES, as outlined below.
