Employment Services Computer Lab, MAM
1625 Blalock Road
Houston, Texas 77080

Description

This session is for clients with little or no familiarity with the use of a personal computer.  In this session you will learn

  • The major components of the computer, and what they do
  • Some terminology that you'll run across in using a computer
  • How to turn the thing on
  • What are the various things you can do with a personal computer
  • Keyboarding and mousing

This session is recommended as a building block for our rotating Wednesday classes on email, internet searches, and internet job applications.

The class has a maximum of five and is taught by Daniel Leal, our Computer Literacy Associate, and a volunteer.  We think you will find it helpful, especially if the thought of working with a computer is intimidating to you.

The class will be taught in English.  You must be a registered Employment Services client to attend.  To register, you must attend an New Client Orientation, offered every business day.

To sign up for this class, see Yolanda Bing or Daniel Leal at MAM.
